The Empathic Civilization

Recently, I’ve been surrounded by people who have worked a lot with the Cree and Inuit and who are continually frustrated with the difficulties of working across cultural barriers. I don’t have much time today but here’s a neat Ted Talk by Jeremy Rifkin who thinks that, one day, definitely not soon, cultural boundaries might be as free unprotected as the Canada-U.S. border used to be. Even if this topic doesn’t interest you, you should check out at least the first couple minutes. The talk is “animated”, for lack of a better word, by someone basically drawing what Rifkin is saying. Neat idea. Great presentation.
