Last year, Montreal’s, Da Gryptions released “The Bixi Anthem-It’s A Free Ride” about Montreal’s free all-access-pay-as-you-go-city-wide bike system. Catchy hooks, clever lyrics, an abundance of Expos’ gear (all good things), it had it all. The Bixi song was produced by Stephen Ramsay of Young Galaxy and the band features members of bands, bars etc from Montreal.
Just in time for this summer, DG’s have put out, “It’s BBQ time”. Slightly more R&B than “Bixi”, but catchy nonetheless. The Montreal sports team paraphernalia is present plus many shots of Quebec beer that comes in the ever popular “tall boy” format.
